Ann's Point is exceedingly beautiful and our accommodations were 5 star and pure luxury!
Alan and Jeannette are the kindest and most attentive hosts.
They did everything possible to make all of their guests feel very special!!
The owner of the Red Sky Restaurant was our culinary instructor
and the foods we created were delicious!
We learned how to properly cook and clean lobster in the restaurant's kitchen!
Additionally, we learned how to make puff pastry for apple dumplings
and the finer points of making vanilla ice cream.
Our meal was a Mexican lobster stew with mussels, scallops, potatoes, etc.
We also made corn tortillas with re-fried beans, goat cheese and tomatoes.
We made a smoked duck, beet and potato fritter with cranberry and apple chutney,
and dessert of apple dumplings and vanilla ice cream.
All courses were paired with wonderful wines and delicious before-dinner drinks!
We also prepared home-made beet pasta with shaved Parmesan cheese,
smoked mussels with garlic mayo, fresh cod sauteed on wilted arugula and greens,
and mini orange cakes with home-made raspberry sorbet!!
There was not one part of this culinary experience that I did not enjoy!!!
This was a "Best Ever" vacation for my sister and me.
For anyone looking for an awesome vacation in Maine,
I highly recommend this culinary adventure!
You will not be disappointed and will walk away with wonderful memories!!

We watched the tides roll as we viewed lobster boats dancing in the bay
while eating amazing food we helped prepare.
James from Red Sky led us through incredible food courses of local fare.
We learned the lobster trade while touring Thurston's Lobster Pound and
toasted the setting sky thankful for how lucky we were to be experiencing the three day cooking class
at the opening of the summer season.
We think that Jeannette and Alan have the most beautiful spot on the island!
